The series follows a sextet of 16 year olds named jude lizowski, jen masterson, jonesy garcia, nikki wong, wyatt williams, and caitlin cooke — the first five having known each other since kindergarten and the last being a new addition to their circle. these six friends all hang out and work part time jobs at a megaplex shopping mall somewhere. It was the tv show 6teen for me. specifically, the episode “breaking up with the boss’ son” where jonesy (a jock) gets wedgied in briefs by darth (a nerd). the wedgie is caught on camera, and darth uses it to blackmail jonesy. it makes up the entire subplot of the episode, and ends with the video of the wedgie being shown to everyone. The escalator girls are a gang of mean girls that hang out at the escalator near the big squeeze. they steal from and bully people that invade "their territory." among their many enemies are jude, jen, and nikki. they first appear in "dirty work." there, jen loses her house keys and the escalator girls gain possession of them when they slide over to the escalator. this leads jude to reveal.
