Engine Overheating No Coolant Leaks Coolant Level Ok Volkswagen In this video i work on a 2015 volkswagen golf 2.0 tdi engine that was overheating with no coolant leaks, no fault codes stored and the coolant level was fin. While working in this area it gave me a great opportunity to look more closely for leaks and i noticed two things that made me hold off on doing the timing belt: 1. there is a hissing noise from the coolant reservoir that is noticeable after shut down. 2. underneath the coolant reservoir it is pretty moist.
Car Engine Overheating Engine Overheating Symptoms Quick Fix I have never seen the stuff before. they say it is from either 1) flux material left in the cylinder heads at the foundry, or 2) cooked anti freeze. be ready to inspect or replace all of your plastic parts with high flow velocity, heater core, water pump, and change your coolant. p.s. A4 (b6 platform) discussion losing coolant no leak found from pressure test overheat once in a while i am losing coolant in my 2003 a4 1.8t and once every couple weeks the temperature gauge overheats. i pull over turn the car off and add coolant and turn it back on and its fine. i took the car to the mechanic and. I understand the 2.0 tdi does in fact have a coolant cooled intercooler. someone said there could be a fracture somewhere that's allowing the coolant to leave the intercooler and go into the charge air. i don't understand how the 2.0 tdi intercooler works and whether that kind of fault is possible. Sounds like an air pocket trapped. remove coolant resovoir cap, place heater on full, start engine, leave to tick over for 20 mins or so. observe that you've got coolant being pumped back into resovoir via side tube when up to 200ºf. every five mins or so give the throttle a blip to make sure return flow increases.

Coolant internal leak (to the exhaust) on 2.0 tdi – 23 11 2021, 10:04 pm. hello, recently i had a very common problem (like many posts on this forum) with the egr cooler. but after replacement with an nrf (firm) part, i found that everyday i lose about 100 200 mililiters of coolant and it's going to the exhaust (somehow). With the engine off, take that little hose off the bottle. start the car and see if you have coolant coming out of that hose. you have to have coolant flowing out of that hose back to the coolant bottle. that is the part of the cooling system's return.
