Filament Not Sticking To The Bed Even After First Layer Calibration Key takeaways. z offset: adjust the gap between the nozzle and the bed to get optimal adhesion. slicer settings: change the nozzle and bed temperatures, first layer speed, and fan settings to suit pla. bed adhesion: use glue stick, hairspray, painter’s tape, or magigoo to improve the bond between pla and the bed. Gaps between lines: caused by nozzle too far from bed. level the bed and increase first layer height and width. poor adhesion: caused by low bed temperature, dirty bed, or incorrect adhesive. clean the bed, raise the temperature, and use suitable adhesive. inconsistent first layer: caused by different filament types or printer models.

First Layer Not Sticking To Bed With Polvlite Cospla Filament ођ Filament not sticking to the bed even after first layer calibration. need to go lower and get rid of those fingerprints with alcohol. the bed has to be 100% clean. so you are saying it the extruder needs to get closer to the bed. i had it at 1.05 and it was doing this. Re: filament curling around nozzle won't stick to bed. 2 things are important for printing, 1. clean bed. 2. first layer calibration needs to be 100%. both settings are needed to get a good print, it also prevents a big ball of filament sticking to the nozzle after a long print, wen prints sticks to the nozzle because it released during printing. Heat up your bed and nozzle to a proper printing temperature, retract the filament a bit, and make sure the nozzle is clean (and that no filament is oozing out during the leveling process). move the heated nozzle to the first corner of the bed. slide a piece of paper between the bed and the nozzle. Re: first layer issue left corner not sticking. @sleepinggiant. thank you very much for your reply, it seems that i solved the first layer print, at least on a small surface, i have to test again that corner with a big print or even i should move this first layer of 100 x 30 x .3 on that corner to test if will properly stick.
