Probably not nier automata. there are side quests but no where near as many as in witcher 3 and the world is way smaller and emptier. for reference i hate games with dense content and large open world like witcher 3, but nier automata is one of my all time favorites. you probably have better luck with persona 4, or horizon if it doesn't have to.

Final fantasy vii remake only addresses the beginning of the original game. however, they managed to make it feel like a complete game. to be fair, it is a full game; it just doesn’t tell the whole story of the original one. regarding battles, final fantasy 7 is a perfect hybrid of action and turn based rpg. 7 devil may cry. one of the most interesting places to go to in nier replicant is the mansion where players first met emil. it's clear that the mansion takes a lot of inspiration from capcom's.
