Southern air kits. i purchased a maxi 3 kit to put in my 41 packard convertible hot rod i was building on october of last year i finished the car about a month ago so far a bad heater control switch a bad heater control valve and a bad ac thermostat switch and the ac doesn't wan5t to charge correctly. they sent me a heater control switch for. One of my coworkers has two southern air units in his pickups and recommended i give them a call. i called and they recommended their "maxi cool 2" kit. comes with everything for base price of $839. i don't need a bracket $50, would buy their bulkhead kit $89. shipped it would be right around $950. From everything i have researched the sa 55 57 complete kits are $300 400 less than the vintage air ones. i don't have deluxe heater controls in my car and with the vintage air systems, you need that, with the sa ones you don't. so overall it would be something like $400 500 savings going the sa route. my project thread:.
