Jul 9, 2011. #2. i have a 44 mag desert eagle and yes the recoil is not bad considering it weighs 5 lbs. big grip, accurate and will take down a deer! one thing that i found is you have to use quality ammo. light ammo will not cycle the slide which is very stiff. i use fiocchi. Firehose flex. any of their firehose flex pants are good. they somehow make it stretchy and it's super comfy. belt loops are also substantial. i've worn out 2 pairs over the years but i've never wrecked a pair. also buy a pair of their fleece lined for the winter (a size bigger than usual) because they're amazing.
